Come to our backyard overlooking the Otaki river to discover and taste the gourmet world of wild edible and medicinal plants that exists right under our noses. We are on four acres with a great mix of natives, exotics, and open fields to wander through as we taste. Wild foods and wild medicines are a part of our lives, what we share with you comes from many years of eating and treating ourselves using nature. We will taste around 15 plants and be introduced to 20-25 different edible, medicinal or poisonous plants.
If you would rather we came to your neighbourhood then get a group of friends together and we will come to you.

"One of the most amazing things I have ever done (and keep doing) is to make fire the way my ancestors did."
Bringing it back to the hearth. Join us for a feast cooked the way our ancestors did it. Spend the morning gathering and preparing wild and not-so-wild foods(vegetarian and meat dishes), then cook them with fire, water, wood, stone and steel in time for lunch. This is very much a hands-on learning experience in which you will learn many different techniques for cooking with fire. It's a great day of connecting and sharing stories and food around the fire.

Become more aware of your surroundings and your body as we bring focus to life around us using awareness and sensing activities. Here we get barefoot, we get blindfolded, we listen, smell, feel, taste and see things with more clarity.
We will venture into the bush and other natural spaces and really start to see and feel the benefits of slowing down. This is NOT a huge bush walk carrying heavy packs, oh no, this is reaching back in your memory to reconnect with nature.
Learn the trees, listen to the birds, feel the earth under your feet.

Minimum three people or equivalent price.
